Kelvin Hotel Marist played the first half into a strong wind and Star capitalised to score first. Marist struck back with two nice tries to take a 10-7 lead before the teams traded tries back and forth until halftime in a lively fixture to make the score 20-19 to Marist.

Star had a couple of chances early in second half but couldn’t finish and Marist took charge scoring four more second half tries to make the final score 42-19.

For Marist number eight Pasilio Tosi was outstanding getting Marist plenty of go forward and winger Keanu Kahukura had a great game causing Star plenty of problems in the wide channels every time he got the ball. Next week will see a repeat fixture with Marist taking on Star again in next weeks semi final. #MFL
